Another way not to do a sit up is too perform the sit up from a moving train.

i looked it up and you are right..

that’s very depressing to hear since that’s what a trainer at my gym told me, although im not using a trainer, maybe he told me that so i wouldn’t see results without him?

if so that’s a pretty fucking lame thing to do

read a textbook. losing fat mass for the most part is calories in vs. calories out. high intensity exercise, like intervals and hill sprints, burn more calories and have a much higher EPOC than low intensity, steady-state cardio. the idea of a “fat-burning” zone is a myth that keeps people fat.

no. whoever told you that is incredibly dumb. this is not a difference in training philosophy, but a complete lack of understanding of basic exercise physiology on their part. dont listen to anything they ever say.

How heavy should the dumbbells be in order for you to not move your legs when coming back up?

If you lose weight and exercise regularly, I’m sure its not too much pressure on your spine.

Plus you’re supposed to warm up first anyway, I’m starting them once I lose my fat on the stomach.

You don’t do cardio to burn fat.

sure, cardio burns fat when you are doing it, but after that your body will only burn sugar.

Do low intensive workouts (like low RPM and Low heart rate bike workouts or treadmill) if you want to burn fat in the long run.

First of all, you shouldnt put wieights on the feets, the feets should be completle free.
Second you should go up more than 35 degrees and not so the elbows tough your leg, thats to far and you dont get the most out of the situps.

I agree with @Cryosheath, many people think that sit-ups can burn fat, that is so wrong! Do cardio, like running, cycling, or my favorite is skip rope; which is known to burn more calories. After you loose weight in your belly area doing cardio, do sit ups and voila you have yourself a six pack!

Of course you can always do sit ups, to build your muscle and strengthen them up, especially in your abdominal. Nice video!

Either way, that’s a lot of weight and compressive force on the ol’ spine … the head is quite heavy for an obvious example. I went with the ‘prone plank’ instead which will hopefully show more result with less back pain than sit-ups and/or crunches.

Having stated the above, I do respect you showing people the more proper way of sit-ups versus the way they were shown in grade school or wherever. I’ll likely visit your other videos for aiding and correcting my routines. :-)
