PCOS Weight Loss Journey
Hello Everyone! I began my new life in March of 2007. By August of 2007 I had lost 80 lbs, and after 4 years of trying with no success, I finally became pregnant, but unfortunately suffered a loss. I got right back on my regimen. And, by March 2008 I was down 102 lbs. By September of 2008 I had reached a total weight loss of 115 pounds when my husband and I found out we were pregnant again COMPLETELY naturally! Our little guy is due in 2 short months. I am so emotional, fired up and …

Cut the soda [PERIOD. Get off it, I cannot stress this enough, NO, Diet is not diet. Diet soda isn't actually good for you, you'll lose weight without it.]
Wheat. Get rid of white bread. PERIOD. Wheat bread is not only delicious [to me at least] but heavily nutritious. Look for breads that say 100% WHOLE WHEAT, 100%. Not just “wheat.”
Move, run, don’t be lazy. Move move. Eat breakfast, Fiber [like Fiber One cerial] is a heavy staple of my diet to keep my FULL for hours on just a few calories.

Move. Is all I can say.
I used to weigh 247.5 lbs and was a hefty kid about 3 years ago as a 12 year old boy… I was picked on cruelly every single day at school. I tried dieting several times… but couldn’t do it.
I finally resorted to it again last June when I stepped on the doctors’ scale that April, tipping 247.5. I lost down to 215, then stopped until January 1st [2009] when I kicked it back in. I’m down to 187 or so now. I’m aiming for 165.
Here are some tips below:

Thats awesome!
p.s. people using weight watchers and programs like that have to work just as hard…paying your fee does not make the weight slip off.

both. He ate correctly when he got back from deployment but his weight fluctuates alot anyways. That’s what happens when you have no choice over what the military feeds you.

Your husband’s weight fluctuated a whole heck of a lot throughout the video. Did he diet with you or is that just normal for him. This is just a question and is not meant to be mean AT ALL! My brother goes through the same weight fluctuations and we are still trying to figure out what’s going on with him. Thanks.

Can you help me please? I don’t even know where or how to begin? Please what did you do? I have been trying for over two years and hitting a low. Was pregnant in 08 but was hospitalized (gravely ill) from overstimulation, got pregnant and later lost the baby now the fertility specialists won’t touch me with a ten foot pole. Please I need some help. BTW You are amazing. Congrats on your baby!

What a wondeful progress you ahve made. I was diagnosed with PCOS and of course weight is a big issue and I am starting to lose weight, but there is one things that also worries me when it comes down to dieting. Did you have excess skin left after losig more than 100 pounds? I dont wnat my success to be overshadowed by that. Also, can you tell how exactly you lost the weight? Thanks a lot.

I never knew I would meet someone else with PCOS that lost the weight they wanted. Please let me know how you did it…I so need the motivation, because I have always felt and still feel that I can’t lose weight with this darn PCOS…any advice would be GREAT and by the way ROCK ON on losing 102lbs…I’m so proud of you, you have opened the doors to us to remarkable things and a better mindset….PCOS has been bullying me since I was 15 or 16 and I just kept gaining weight…You have inspired me

Absolutely fantastic video!! As you can see by your comments, there are a lot of women with PCOS. Me included. I was diagnosed back in 2004 and since then I have overcome PCOS. I got pregnant in 2005 after diet modification and exercise. My son was born in 2006. Good luck with the pregnancy. You are truly inspirational!
